Revise your Topic Sentence from Block 11

CTE Standard: 11-12.5. Develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying B1.0 a new approach, focusing on addressing what is most significant for a specific purpose and audience.

​During Block 11, we wrote a paragraph. Today, you are revising the topic sentence you wrote for that paragraph. *I sent you a copy of your paragraph by email on Wed 2/17 to both your @fresnoU.org AND @edisoncomputech.com accounts* If you do not have it from me, you did not get it turned in on time and will need to find your copy from your records.

  1. Read and understand the resource How to Write A Topic Sentence.
  2. Then, re-write your topic sentence. I will be looking to make sure you incorporated what the short article in step 1 taught you.

Present Your Astrobiological Instrument Slide

Standard:​ 11-12.7. Integrate and evaluate multiple sources of information presented in diverse formats B9.0, B10.0, and media (e.g., quantitative data, video, multimedia) in order to address a question or solve a A1.0, A9.0 C1.0, C11.0 B11.0 problem.

In this task, you will record a video of yourself presenting the Astrobiological Instrument slide that you created with your team on Thursday (2/18) or Friday (2/19). That assignment is in Teams > Assignments > "Group Breakout Room (Block 12) @NASAPersevere rover mini-presentation"
Your presentation must include everything your slide needed to have, including: 
  • Astrobiological Instrument Assigned
  • At least one picture
  • Name of instrument
  • What name means
  • What the item does (bullet points, in your teams' own words)
  • One cool fact you learned about the instrument

In this task, you will create a single dice (die) in Sketchup.EDU. Be as creative as you can in your time. Today's video is optional. If you feel confident in making your 3-dimensional die in Sketchup without the video lesson, feel free. You will turn in a snip of your die with a view showing at least 3 of faces (sides) of the die.
