Information Technology

What is taught?

Information Technology is an exciting course in which students are given the opportunity to explore technology in a self-guided environment. Instructors are always available to help guide students, and students are provided industry relevant topics to explore. Students will be provided real scenarios to troubleshoot, and provide recommended solutions. Although topics will change based on industry relevancy, the following topics are anticipated for the 2016-2017 school year.

Student Expectations

Students in Information Technology are expected to do the following:
  • Maintain good attendance
  • Bring BYOD Computers to class every day
  • Complete ALL safety training BEFORE using any equipment
  • Observe ALL safety protocols at ALL times
  • Report ALL equipment damage to an instructor immediately
  • Report ALL injuries to an instructor immediately
  • Wear the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for every task
  • Only use equipment for the task it is intended
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Treat all students, faculty, and visitors with respect
